Peerless Warranty Coverage
The manufacturer warrants each new Peerless product solt by it or any of its authorized distrubutors to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service, its obligation under this warranty being limited to repairing or replacing at its option any part of parts of said unit manufactured by Peerless found to the manufacturer’s satisfaction to be defective upon examination by it, provided that such parts or parts shall be returned to the manufacturer’s factory or its nearest branch.
Peerless warrants that the Trailer shall be free of defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of delivery and will reimburse the Purchaser for the repair or replacement (at Peerless’ option). The items listed below are excluded from the above warranty.
Paint
Components and/or trailers are warranted from rust and/or peeling for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of delivery.
Electrical Components
Electrical components and operation of trailer electrical system are warranted from defects for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of delivery.
Air Components
Air components and operation of trailer air system are warranted from defects for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of delivery.
Additional Warranties and Exclusions
Glider kits are covered under all the conditions of this warranty schedule. Any Dealer or customer installation of supplied components are excluded from the Peerless’ Warranty Coverage. Peerless is not deemed responsible for consequences of improper installation by dealers or customers.
Owner’s Responsibility
Once the Trailer has been delivered, it immediately becomes subject to the effects of all operating conditions, such as: driver competence, terrain, road conditions, weather and many other factors, the effects of which are not covered by this warranty. True defects covered by this warranty that exist at the time of delivery are relatively rare. It is important that the Purchaser recognize the difference between defects which are covered by this warranty and failures resulting from abuse and normal wear and tear which are not covered. Purchaser should establish a planned preventative maintenance program to extend the useful life of the Trailer.
Your Warranty Does Not Cover
- COMPONENTS WARRANTED DIRECTLY BY MANUFACTURER: All equipment and components of the Trailer that are warranted directly to the Purchaser by their manufacturers, whether or not sold by Peerless with the Trailer, are excluded from this warranty. For example: tires, wheels, drums, axles, fifth wheels and landing gear are excluded from this warranty.
- OIL, GREASE, OTHER LUBRICANTS except where replacement is required as a direct result of a defect covered by this warranty.
- ABUSE, ACCIDENTS, OVERLOADING OR NEGLIGENCE OF THE PURCHASER, including failure to properly maintain and service the Trailer.
- TOWING IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. Towing and or other means of transporting unit requiring repair.
- Down time incurred while trailer is inoperative or is being repaired.
- Fines incurred for any reason in use of trailer.
In all cases, Peerless warranty department must be contacted before work can be started. If the claim is approved, a warranty “RW” number will be assiged to the claim. Failure to do so may result in refusal of the claim.
Photographs of claimed warranty damage shall be supplied by the Purchaser upon request by Peerless.
Estimates for work to be done on a claim will be supplied by Peerless. Any over-runs while work is in progress will be reported at that time.
Peerless sales representatives may assist in the collection of information for speedy processing of claims; however, THEY CANNOT AUTHORIZE WORK TO BE DONE.
THIS WARRANTY IS MADE EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR MERCHATABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND OF ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY ON THE PART OF THE MANUFACTURER INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION OF THE FOREGOING, CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. The manufacturer neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume for it any other liability in connection with the same of such new Peerless product. This warranty is not transferable.
This warranty shall not apply to used equipment, the same being sold “as is”.
This warranty supersedes all warranties in sales literature prior to the delivery date.
